Graveside service for Mr. Alton David Jordan age 74, of Elora will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 PM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Robert Doud officiating.

Mr. Jordan died Saturday in Lincoln Care Center.  A native of Lincoln County, TN, he was the son of the late Earl and Mattie Jordan.   Mr. Jordan was a heavy equipment operator for Lincoln County Highway Department.

Survivors include his wife; Lucille Maynard Jordan of Elora, three daughters: Evie Gardner and husband Randall of Elora, Violet Bankston and husband Don of Fayetteville, and Chris Langford and husband Charles, two sons: Rickey Slayton and wife Cindy of New Market AL and Danny Slayton and wife Kathy of Fayetteville, one sister: Katherine Cowley of Fayetteville, 17 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents, a son Lanny Gene Slayton, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

The Jordan Family will receive friends at Higgins Funeral Home on Monday from 10 AM-1:30 PM.
