Funeral services for Mr. Alvis Nullin Pitts, Jr.,  age 86, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday at Kelso Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Kirk Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Kelso Cemetery.  Mr. Pitts passed away Monday afternoon at Lincoln Medical Center.

     A native of Decatur, AL, he was a son of the late Alvis Newland and Jennie Mai Moorehead Pitts, a farmer, a veteran of the US Army having served in WWII, and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by special friend Fred Shelton of Fayetteville, niece Patricia Louise McMahon of Summertown, nephew David Allen Westbrook of New Mexico, nieces Susan Regina Bragg and Kathleen Marie Pitts of Florida, and three great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by a sister Nell Kathryn Pitts and brother Edgar E. Pitts.

     Visitation will be from 1-2 PM Wednesday at Kelso Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
