Funeral service for Buffy Winn age 44 of Fayetteville will be conducted Friday, February 12, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Self officiating. Burial will follow in New Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Winn passed away February 9, 2016.
A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Dempsey and Gail Dempsey who survivies. She was a sewing machine operator for the Lee Company and Lincoln County Manufacturing and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her sons Thomas Winn and Dalton “D.J.” Winn both of Fayetteville, grandson Thomas Jayden Winn of Pulaski, TN, mother Gail Dempsey of Fayetteville, sisters Lori “Suzy” Givens and husband Kenneth of Florence, AL, Cynthia Gail “Cindy” Mathis and husband Marty of Fayetteville, brother Joseph “Joe” Goodman of Fayetteville, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father Thomas J. Dempsey, brother Thomas Jeffery Dempsey, cousin Timothy Dempsey, uncle Johnny Dempsey, grandparents F.E. and Eleanor Dempsey and Fannie Mae Grammer.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
