Funeral services for Mr. Daniel Thomas Moyers, age 74, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 11AM Saturday at Higgins Funeral Home with Dr. Ronnie Gay and Rev. Abe Silliman, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Stateline Cemetery.  Mr. Moyers passed away Wednesday April 22, 2009 at Lincoln Medical Center.

The son of late Clarence and Ruby Hanback Moyers and was a native of Lincoln County and a lifelong painter and paper hanger.  He was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church and served in the National Guard.  Mr. Moyers was deeply loved by all, and was well known for his Christian values, honesty and graciousness.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years Rebecca Green Moyers of Fayetteville, four children Delaine Moyers-Becker, Richard Dan (Janet) Moyers, Dottye (Mike) Watson, David Bryant (Sherry) Moyers, six grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Those to serve as pallbearers are Zachary Moyers, Jeremy Watson, J. D. Becker, Kevin Chamblee, Ryan Jeans, Mike Barbieri and Honorary Pallbearer Mike Watson.

Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Society.
