Funeral services for Mr. Derek Douglas Gatlin, age 27, of Delrose will be conducted at 11 AM Friday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Mr. Gatlin passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at Lincoln Medical Center.

A son of Eddy Dean Gatlin and Brenda Smith Anderson, he was a native of Lincoln County, employed with Lincoln Health Systems as a pharmacist, and a member of Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his father Eddy Dean Gatlin and wife Cammy of Delrose, mother Brenda Smith Anderson and husband Danny Ray of Lawrenceburg, grandfather Edward Ray Gatlin, and uncle Benny Gatlin. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Burnadean Gatlin and grandparents Carl and Patty Smith.

Visitation with the family will be from 4-8 PM Thursday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.
