Funeral service for Edna Louise Thorpe, age 98 of Frankewing, will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Wright’s Cemetery beside her husband Harold Burr Thorpe who passed away in 1967. Mrs. Thorpe passed away Thursday morning in Donalson Care Center.

A native of Lincoln County she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Maggie
Bearden Cunningham, a former employee of Serbin Fashions and a member of the McBurg Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons Harold Jerry (Martha) Thorpe of Delrose, Bobby Joe (Donna Williams) Thorpe of Rogersville, AL, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wright’s Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
