Graveside services for Essie Mae Smith Todd, age 80, of Lynchburg will be conducted at 1:00PM Friday at Flintville Cemetery with Rev. Jack Carney officiating.  Burial will be beside her husband Vernon Eugene Todd.  Mrs. Todd passed away Wednesday in Lynchburg.  Higgins Funeral Home will be in charge of services.

She was a native of Madison County, Ala, the daughter of the late Joe and Lettie Hillard Smith, a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters Sandra Jean Langford and husband Michael of Blockton, AL, Merle Moorehead and husband Larry of Lynchburg and Carol Ann Tucker and husband Jeff of Flintville, sister Ruth Thomas of Athens, AL and brother Alvie R. Smith of Wetumpka, AL, eight grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home prior to services.
