Obituary

Funeral services for Glenda June Horsley, age 76 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Ennis Hyman officiating. Mrs. Horsley passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 in Huntsville Hospital after an extended illness.

She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late Glen and Louise Koonce Flynt. She was a retired Financial Analyst with IBM and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband Raymond Horsley of Fayetteville, daughters Cheryl (Ron) Perrin of Fayetteville, Cindy (Charles) Johnson of Albertville, AL, grandchildren Barrett (Rebecca) Lewis of Fayetteville, Trey Shelton of Gainesville, FL, Rielly (Ian) Lewis of Nashville, Tyler (Kallie) Shelton of Fayetteville, grandson of the heart Billy Wildberger of Gainesville, FL, four step-grandchildren Spencer Perrin, Stuart Perrin, Kate Jenkins and Jill Wilkerson, great-grandchildren Lake and Celee Lewis, four-step-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Rachel Horsley, brother-in-law Don (Lois) Horsley, close cousins Carol Taylor, Ronald Pearson, Lex Pearson and Tim Pearson . Mrs. Horsley was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Drennan Horsley and aunt Virginia Pearson.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday May, 16, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

    We were sorry to read of Glenda’s death. It was a shock to us. We have such fond memories of Glenda and the family from many years back. God bless each of you during this hurting and sad time. I know she always loved you all.
