Obituary

Funeral service for Mrs. Goldie Wallen Phillips, age 94, of Taft, formerly of Chattanooga, TN, will be conducted Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home in Fayetteville, TN with Rev. Bryan Bult officiating. Burial will follow in Hooker Cemetery in Wildwood, GA on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. central standard time and 3 p.m. eastern standard time. Mrs. Phillips passed away Friday evening at the Donalson Skill Care Center.

Mrs. Phillips was a native of Wildwood, GA, the daughter of the late Alvin Monroe and Dora Steele Wallen. She was a housewife, a member of the Red Bank Baptist Church and regularly attended Fayetteville ARP Church.

Survivors include her daughters Linda Robbeloth and husband Mike of Tucson, AZ, Connie Powelson and husband Bill of Taft, TN, grandchildren Jonathan Robbeloth of Tucson, AZ, Elizabeth Robbeloth of Alvin, TX, David Powelson and wife Julia of Huntsville, AL, Rachel Powelson of Chiang Mai, Thailand, Matthew Powelson of Taft, TN, sister Betty Massey of Trenton, GA and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph H. Phillips, siblings Eugene Hartman, Ed Hartman, Bill Hartman, Della Broom and Terrell Wallen.

Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home in Fayetteville, TN.
