Harold Franklin Kirkland
April 1, 1925 - June 27, 2008
Funeral services for Mr. Harold Franklin Kirkland, age 83, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 2PM Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Kirkland passed away Friday morning in Lincoln Skill Care Center.
He was a native of Lincoln County and the son of the late Sam and Mary Kathleen Snoddy Kirkland. He was a former employee of Wallace Saw Works in Knoxville, was a member of the Flintville Baptist Church, and attended the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews, brother-in-law Melvin Simmons of Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by a sister Katherine K. Simmons, three brothers John V. Kirkland, Homer T Kirkland, and Samuel R. Kirkland.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to your Local American Cancer Fund. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from noon until 2pm at Higgins Funeral Home.
