Funeral services for James Arthur Cash, Jr., age 51 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday at 1:30 pm at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Richard McWilliams officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery. Mr. Cash passed away Wednesday at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.

A native of Lincoln County, Mr. Cash was the son of the late James Arthur Cash and Ruby Jean Gilliam Cash. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was an employee of Averitt Express in Fayetteville, TN. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, truck driving and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years Ronda Bishop Cash of Fayetteville, children James Arthur Cash, III of Bloomington, IN, Johnny Glen Cash of Fayetteville, Chasity (Chad) Richardson of Shelbyville, TN. He is also survived by sisters Lucille Cash Giles of Huntsville, AL, Nancy (Rocky) Yates of New Market, AL, Geneva (Ed) Cash Semanek of Harvest, AL. He was blessed with several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

James’ mother suddenly passed away when he was one year old and Lavonia and husabnd John E. Franklin reared him in their home along with their two daughters, Rita (Donnie) Franklin Parks and Martha (Wayne) Franklin Graham. He was preceded in death by a brother James Lawrence Cash and a sister Barbara Cash Student.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday evening from 4 until 8 pm at Higgins Funeral Home.
