Obituary

Graveside services for James (Jimmy) McArthur Renegar, age 73 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Wednesday July 8, 2015 at 1:30pm at Medium Cemetery with Rev. Will Wells and Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Mr. Renegar passed away Monday July 6, 2015 in Huntsville Hospital.
He was a native of Marshall County, TN and the son of the late John Robert Renegar, Jr. and Mary Virginia Wright Renegar. Mr. Renegar was a retired data processor with Amana Refrigeration and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed wood working, was a volunteer with Good Sam thru the First United Methodist Church and loved people.
Survivors include his wife Edna Pardon Renegar of Fayetteville, two daughters Sherry Renegar
Stone of Fayetteville, Lori Renegar Burton of Fayetteville, grandchildren Raven Burton and Peyton Honea, great-grandchild Sadie Burton, sister Frances (Tillie) Thompson and husband Joe, brother John Robert (Rowena) Renegar, and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday July 8, 2015 from 10am-1pm at Higgins Funeral Home. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother Charles Renegar, sisters Lila Wright and Muriel Sappington. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

    Lori and Sherry, I sure am sorry to hear of the passing of your Daddy. He was a real sweet man. . He was always so nice to me when I use to work at Parsley’s…. He would always say, “Hey Buddah”…It made me smile..I know he will be missed. God Bless yall.

    I had the pleasure of working with Jim for 13 years. He was an honest, loyal, hard working employee. He seldom complained and was a REAL team player.
    I had the privilege of making many portraits of and watching you girls grow up.
    He was a dedicated and loving father and I always considered him one of my very best friends. He will be missed by many.
