Obituary

Service for Lynn Steelman Towery, age 78, of Hermitage, will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at Prospect Cemetery with Dr.  Ronnie Gay officiating. Grandsons wills serve as pallbearers.

A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Perry Freeman and Eddene Ready Steelman, a graduate of Central High School, and a member of The Linocya Hills Baptist Church in Nashville.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years Paul Edward Towery; daughters Karen T. Chapman of Nashville and Sherry T. Accaria of Fayetteville; grandchildren James “Jay” Paul Chapman of Nashville, Edward “Lee” (Jessica) Parks, Jonathan Ross Parks, and Ashley Lynn (Casey) Williams all of Fayetteville; great-grandchildren Danica, Trenedy, Cora, Colton, Audrey, Marshall, Jaelynn, and Alanna; brother Harold (Judy) Steelman of Fayetteville and sister-in-law Jodean Steelman of Nashville. Mrs. Towery was preceded in death by brothers Joe Steelman and Danny (Donna) Steelman.

Visitation with the family will be Monday from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Mrs. Towery.

    I am so sorry to read the obituary of your dear sweet wife, Lynne. I have really missed you and Lynne in our S.S. Class. May God give you the strength you need during your time of bereavement. Lynne was a very sweet lady and friend.
