Funeral service for Paul Pierce Tripp, age 87 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. David Sain officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.  Mr. Tripp passed away Wednesday in Donalson Care Center.

A native of Lincoln County, Mr. Tripp was the son of the late John H. and Susan Copeland Tripp.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WW II, retired maintenance specialist with TVA and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn McGee Tripp of Fayetteville, son Mark Albert Tripp of Columbia, TN, two brothers Max Tripp of Tullahoma, TN, Massey Tripp of Louisville, KY and sister Willie J. Halcomb of Lawrenceville, GA.  Mr. Tripp was preceded in death by two sisters Jean McGhee and Mary Rowe.

Visitation with the family will be Friday 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
