Funeral service for Mr. Roger “Crow” Dale Honey age 65, of Fayetteville, will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery. Mr. Honey passed away Friday evening in Lincoln Medical Center.
A native of Lincoln County, the son of the late, Robert Carroll and Mary Jane Smith Honey. Mr. Honey was a 1968 graduate of Central High School, and was a charter member of the Machinist Union Local Lodge 2385. He was an Atlanta Braves and Falcons Fan. He was a former member of the Huntsville and Fayetteville Bowling Leagues.
Survivors include his daughter Leanne Honey-Caldwell; sons Justin Honey and Chris Honey all of Fayetteville; brother Carroll Davis Honey and his wife Pam of Mt. Pleasant; and grandchildren Bethany Honey, Steven Land, Stephany Land and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5 – 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.

My mother, Paula Kelley, worked with Crow and spoke fondly of him often. She has been gone 3 years now so in her memory and in honor of their friendship; I offer my deepest sympathy to the family.
Carroll Davis, Chris, Leanne and Justin, so sorry for the loss of Roger. He always had a smile whenever I would see him. I have lots of good memories of the Honey Family growing up next to them on Circle Drive. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

My sympathy to Rogers family for the loss of my childhood friend. We spent many hours together as teenagers and Roger was always loyal to his friends. Friendship is always a two way street. I had a long, long friendship with the Crow. He was a blessing to me. He could always make me laugh and make me happy if I was sad. A friend knows all about you and still loves you–this is the kind of friends we were. He was caring, easy going, funny, kind, loving, wonderful, and brave up to the end. I’ve had much fun with him over the years. He loved his children and grandchildren and I know there will be a big void in your lives without him. Keep those memories flowing. I am so sorry that he is gone. For Crow, death is is his next big adventure! Praying for you all and much love to you!
I know that I do not have any words which will ease the ache in your hearts. I am so thankful that Crow was surrounded by love each day of his life. I also Thank God for cherished memories.

Roger was a good man that we will always remember…… he worked for me at Conoco many years ago, and with my brother at amana for many years. our heart felt prayers are with the family!
My daddy, Billy Noles, often spoke of “Crow”. I think that they were big buddies at Amana. My sympathies to the family.
