April 19, 1910 - July 10, 2009

Mrs. Ruth Curtis Collings, age 99, of Tullahoma passed away Friday July 10th.  She was a native of Young’s Chapel in Giles County, TN and was the daughter of William Charles and Mildred Brownlow Curtis.  She was preceded in death by her husband James F Collings who passed away in 1967, sisters Aileen Coble, Mary Will Harris, Anita Womack and brothers Fred Wilson Curtis and Edwin Brownlow Curtis.  She is survived by a son James Franklin (Virginia) Collings of Thompson Station, daughters Jane Collings of Huntsville, AL, and Brenda Carter (Wayne) of Shelbyville, one grandchild, two step-grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren, three sisters Marie Brewer and Edith Francis both of Fayetteville, Helen Hopper of Lewisburg and sister-in-law Elizabeth Ring Curtis of Estill Springs and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Randall  Harmon officiating.  Burial will follow in Wrights Cemetery.Visitation with the family will be from 1-3PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
