Obituary

Mr. William Henry Edwards, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015, at Lincoln Medical Center. A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of the late James Arthur and Ida Warden Edwards, Sr.
Mr. Edwards was a graduate of Tennessee Tech and received a Masters Degree from Florida State University. He was a chemistry teacher and retired school principal in Florida. He was also very active in the Lions Club. He moved back to Tennessee where he worked as a chemist for Jack Daniel Distillery followed by a second retirement. He was an avid fresh water fisherman and bird hunter. He attended the First United Methodist Church of Fayetteville.
Survivors include his wife Ruth Burger Edwards of Fayetteville, a daughter Debbie Edwards Broadstreet, son-in-law David Broadstreet, a grandson John William Pooser, nephews Jimmy Wells, Benny Edwards of Fayetteville, David Edwards, Tommy Edwards, Dr. William A. Edwards of Fayetteville, Dr. Charles Burger of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, nieces Liz Wells Knight, Allison Edwards Green of Huntsville, Betty Edwards Knott of Fayetteville, and a sister-in-law Magaline Edwards of Fayetteville.
No service is planned. Higgins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
