Funeral services for Mr. William Mark Whitaker, age 90, of Petersburg will be conducted Monday at 2PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Petersburg with Rev. Ed Keith and Rev. Phil Leftwich officiating. Burial will follow in Old Orchard Cemetery. Mr. Whitaker passed away Friday morning at Lincoln Medical Center.

He was a native of Marshall County, TN and the son of the late Holland Benjamen and Mary Gillespie Whitaker. Mr. Whitaker was retired from the Dept of OEO, veteran of the Army Air Corp serving during World War II and a member and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the American Legion, the Sons of the American Revolution and former member and president of the Petersburg Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife Charlotte Cunningham Whitaker of Petersburg, son Bill Whitaker and wife Brenda of Pensacola, FL, daughter Bette Harris and husband Hoyt of Lafayette, LA., grandson Hunter Harris, sister Sara Daves of Murfreesboro and nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Monday from 12PM-2PM at the First Presbyterian Church.
