With heart felt sadness we pray for the family of Melvin McAlister. We so enjoyed the moments he and Ms. Brenda would come visit the store and share a story or two with us. His love for life and candor for what fails this old world will always be a fond memory. He will truly be missed by friends and acquaintances but none will miss him more than his loving family. God bless you all and keep you in the days to follow. Our prayers are with you always.

Lee, Fredna and family; I am sorry to hear of your loss. I considered Melvin as a friend and spent many hours sitting and “solving the world’s ills” with him at the restaurant. I never saw him without a smile and friendly to all. Remember the good times.
